FAQ'S

What is flower preservation?

Flower preservation is a great way to preserve your special flowers into a forever keepsake.

How are the flowers preserved?

They are preserved for approx 2 week. Once fully dried they are cast in high quality epoxy resin.

Can all flowers be preserved?

Unfortunately not all flowers are suitable. We cannot list all flowers that are not ideal however based on previous orders and requests the majority of standard wedding and memorial flowers are suitable. We will advise if we stumble across some in your bouquets that we know are too temperamental.

Do the flowers keep their shape and colour?

Every flower is unique and can react differently during the preservation process. Some colours may change for example bright red will become deep burgundy. If a flower has begun to wilt prior the preservation process will not rejuvenate it. Damaged petals/leaves will be removed.

How long after using my flowers can I get them preserved?

Typically we ask for flowers to be 3 days or less. Ideally as fresh as possible to get the best colour and shape for your keepsake.

Are the finished pieces weatherproof?

Resin is water resistant and weather proof however please note that being in constant daylight may cause the resin to discolour over time.

How long does the process take?

Typically the full end to end process is 6-8 weeks however during peak times this can increase. We will always keep you informed and communicate if there is going to be an extended lead time.

Can Resin Products Break?

Yes. If your finished pieces are dropped or knocked over they can break/shatter. Try to keep out of reach from young children or pets that may knock them over.

How can I get my flowers to you?

If you are not within a suitable distance to drop off you can post your flowers to us. In order to post tie the stems of your flowers together and wrap with damp kitchen roll. You can add an extra layer of tinfoil to the kitchen roll to lock in that moisture. Pack out a cardboard box with screwed up paper and place your flowers inside. Place additional paper to the top layer and secure. We do ask that you do not place bubble wrap as this can absorb the moisture. Inside the carton please place your name and order details so that we know what flowers are yours. Address your carton to LB Resin and mark as fragile.

Will my flowers get damaged in transit?

There are no guarantees as we unfortunately do not control the postal service however as long as your flowers are packed securely they should arrive OK. All previous orders have arrived in a good condition. Pictures will be shared with the customer once they have arrived safely.

Will I be kept informed of progress?

Yes! Knowing how precious these flowers are we ensure that our customers are involved in the process. Photos during the process are sent and we try to include you in the design stage ti ensure that you will be happy with the end product.

Will there be bubbles in my resin keepsake?

Yes. Whilst we try to keep air bubbles to a minimum it is impossible to have none. Temperature and humidity are huge factors with resin and can cause air bubbles. There are also some flowers that show more bubbles than others. For example red roses are prone to produce and show more bubbles. Personally I like the bubbles as again it’s unique to your piece.

Can anything else be added to my keepsakes?

Yes! Depending on your reason for your flower preservation you can add a variety of items including: photos, pet and human ashes, pet and human hair, breast milk, pregnancy tests, Lego, toys, bottle tops to make a few….

Is postage included?

No. If you require postage of your items I will add that to your final price.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. A 30% non returnable deposit is required to reserve your booking. With the balance due on completion before shipping back to you. Resin is extremely expensive and is a very timely process so we need to ensure that we are not  impacted by any last minute cancellations.

How do I order and pay?

To order, simply email your enquiry or make contact through one of our social media platforms. We will happily talk you through the process and share our bank details to send the deposit through to.
